"Franchesca had no choice. It was either die or become like her boyfriend - a vampire, a creature of the night, a bloodsucker. She didn't have much time to think about, so he chose for her. She hated him for had happened.

This 'gift' was nothing but torture and suffering. Nothing could cure her; no matter how many times she tried, she couldn't kill herself and die. Her boyfriend had wanted to keep her safe, but the moment Franchesca took a bullet to the chest, he acted impulsively and 'saved' her. He though he was helping her survive. He wasn't."
